Metro CDMX Faces High User Traffic and Delays

Yesterday, failures were reported on various lines of the Mexico City Metro, and the problems persist today, especially on lines 7 and B, where users report delays of more than 10 minutes. In response to the high influx of passengers on Line 5, the Metro reported that it is speeding up the trains on this line.

On the other hand, lines 1, 2, 3, 7, 8, 9, A, B, and 12 show a high flow of users, with a waiting time of 6 minutes to board a train. Meanwhile, lines 4, 5, and 6 are described as clear or with moderate influx, with a 5-minute wait to board.

Users on social media expressed frustration due to delays this morning on line 7, from El Rosario to Barranca del Muerto, due to the maximum influx of passengers. In response, the Collective Transport System (STC) Metro indicated that it is speeding up the progress of the trains on this line.

Additionally, passengers complained of overcrowding at the Tezonco station on line 12, as well as slow progress on line B. The STC requested passengers to allow free closing of doors and to exit the carriage before entering to avoid delays.
