The 46th International Book Fair of the Palacio de Minería will celebrate Oaxaca's rich cultural heritage from February 21 to March 2, featuring over 48 activities including workshops and literary presentations.

The 46th edition of the International Book Fair of the Palacio de Minería (FILPM) will take place from February 21 to March 2 in the heart of Mexico City, featuring a program filled with activities and an invited state highlighting the cultural richness of Oaxaca. Organized by the Faculty of Engineering at UNAM, FILPM promises to be a monumental event, with more than 1,048 activities including editorial presentations, workshops, music, and reading cycles.

This year, Oaxaca is the invited state, bringing with it 30 writers from its various regions, as well as workshops for children. Fernando Macotela Vargas, the event director, emphasized at a press conference the importance of FILPM as the most important editorial meeting in Mexico City and one of the most notable in the country.

Among the scheduled activities are the 9th Noir Novel Day, the 12th Comic Day, and the 10th Horror Literature Days, as well as a tribute to the 180th anniversary of "The Raven" by Edgar Allan Poe. Carmen Sánchez Parada, representative of Oaxaca, highlighted the importance of showcasing the culture and literature of her state, describing it as the "cultural heart of Mexico."

The fair will take place at Calle Tacuba No.5, Historic Center of CDMX. Among the scheduled activities, centenaries of literary figures such as Rosario Castellanos, Luis Spota, and Ernesto Cardenal will be commemorated, as well as celebrating the birthdays of writer Héctor Manjarrez and poet Sergio Mondragón. Featured participants include poet Nadia López García, who will present her book "Cuerpo Roto," and the Philharmonic Band of the Center for Musical Training and Development of the Mixe Culture will participate in FILPM.

The 2025 Dr. Adolfo Rodríguez Gallardo Library Service Award will be presented, along with the 2024 Memory of the World Mexico Recognitions. For more information about the program and schedule, interested parties can consult the official FILPM website.
