
This Thursday, February 13, Line 12 of the Mexico City Metro experienced issues due to a power cut caused by an emergency breaker without any apparent reason, resulting in delays for trains heading to Mixcoac. The situation caused passengers to express their annoyance, with users reporting waits of more than 10 minutes on Line 2 towards Cuatro Caminos.
"I don't think it's fair! MOVE ON!" requested a user, while another passenger expressed: "More than 10 minutes wait on line 2 and it's already packed with people, do you know what you need to work on? Please speed things up." Metro CDMX asked users to respect the signage and made a call to use the emergency levers only in case of necessity.
As for passenger flow on other lines, it was reported that several stations on lines 1, 2, 3, 7, 8, 9, A, B, and 12 had high traffic and waiting times of around 7 minutes to board a train. Meanwhile, lines 4, 5, and 6 reported moderate traffic with waits of about 6 minutes.
Users on social media also reported delays on other lines, such as Line B, where they stopped for up to 15 minutes at the Tepito station, and on Line 3 with delays of 15 minutes at Indios Verdes. Passengers showed their discontent regarding these situations, highlighting the overcrowding of trains in some stations.
Overall, users of the Mexico City Metro expressed their dissatisfaction over the lack of information, delays, and deficiencies in service, urging the relevant authorities to take precautions and resolve the issues to improve the user experience.
