Metro CDMX Faces Major Delays and Passenger Complaints

In Mexico City, the influx problems in the Metro are causing discomfort among users. On Line B, trains stop for more than 5 minutes at each station, causing overcrowding and making it difficult for passengers to access. The situation is repeated on Line 8, where problems begin at the Constitución de 1917 station and extend along the route.

Some users express their frustration over the delays and lack of information from the Metro. They request the sending of empty trains to alleviate the high influx at certain stations. Complaints range from the ineptitude of the service to the constant interruptions on the route, which cause significant delays for passengers.

On Line 3, trains also experience problems, stopping at each station and causing inconvenience among users. The slow service could result in passengers arriving late at their destinations, despite having left with enough time in advance. This situation repeats daily, leading users to rate the line as inadequate and urging for its prompt renovation.

Regarding the planned improvements on Line 3, the head of Government of CDMX, Clara Brugada, announced that renovation works will begin in 2026. However, she assured that no station closures are scheduled this year on the mentioned line, which connects Indios Verdes with Universidad.

On the other hand, on Line 12, users report delays from early hours on the stretch from Tezonco to Mixcoac. The constant braking and slow progress of the trains have generated concern among passengers. In response, it has been stated that rehabilitation work on Line 12 will take place at night to avoid interrupting daytime service.
