
The authorities of Mexico City have issued a warning for hail in at least 11 municipalities of the capital of the country. Through the Secretariat of Integral Risk Management and Civil Protection, the government of the City activated a yellow alert for rain and hail for the afternoon of this Friday, February 21.
Civil Protection of Mexico City reported that the municipalities with yellow alert for hail are: Álvaro Obregón, Azcapotzalco, Benito Juárez, Coyoacán, Cuajimalpa, Gustavo A. Madero, Magdalena Contreras, Miguel Hidalgo, Tlalpan, Venustiano Carranza, and Xochimilco. The forecast is valid for the afternoon and evening of this Friday.
The population was urged to be cautious due to falling trees, flooding, and currents of water on main avenues or streets. The Secretariat of Integral Risk Management and Civil Protection also recommended carrying an umbrella when leaving home or work.
