During the "Electric Daisy Carnival" (EDC) 2025, which took place at the GNP stadium in the Iztacalco delegation, the Citizen Security Secretariat (SSC) of Mexico City carried out a security operation that resulted in the detention of 77 people. Among them, 43 men, 17 women, and 17 minors were identified for alleged ticket reselling at prices higher than box office rates or possibly counterfeit, with a total of 47 tickets seized. Sixteen of the detainees had prior offenses for the same infraction and were presented to the Civic Judge.
Regarding drug-related arrests, two 24-year-old women were apprehended for possession of apparent marijuana. The detainees were intercepted while attempting to flee upon noticing police presence. They had 34 plastic wrappings containing muffin-like baked goods made with apparent marijuana, 25 plastic bags with the same substance in bulk, four handmade marijuana cigarettes, two cell phones, and cash. The women were informed of their rights and were made available to the Public Ministry for alleged offenses against health.
