The Metro is the most used public transport throughout Mexico City. Its low cost makes it the preferred option for most students and workers over other available routes. Despite its popularity, there are occasional complaints from users on social media highlighting delays in train operations, as recently happened in Line 3 of the Collective Transport System.
In an official statement, the Metro informed about the temporary suspension of service on Line 3 due to an incident in which a person allegedly threw themselves in front of the train. Rescue operations were carried out to ensure the safety of all those involved. The stations potentially affected by this situation are: Indios Verdes, Deportivo 18 de marzo, Potrero, La Raza, Tlatelolco, Guerrero, Hidalgo, Juárez, Balderas, Niños Héroes, Hospital General, Centro Médico, Etiopía, Eugenia, División del Norte, Zapata, Coyoacán, Viveros, Miguel Ángel de Quevedo, Copilco, and Universidad.
Day by day, millions of city residents use the various Metro stations that connect the capital of the country and parts of the State of Mexico.
