The cars that will not be allowed to circulate are those with license plates ending in odd numbers, that is, 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9 of hologram 1, as well as vehicles with hologram two and out-of-state vehicles. Cars with holograms 0 and 00 are exempt from this restriction, as are private vehicles of health sector workers, ambulances, cars for people with disabilities, as long as they have the Permit to exempt from Hoy No Circula, and electric vehicles.
The Environmental Commission of the Megalopolis did not declare an environmental contingency for Saturday, March 1st, so there will be no double Hoy No Circula. This measure is implemented in case of environmental contingency in order to reduce ozone particles, as happened last Wednesday, February 26th.
The Hoy No Circula program remains in effect to help reduce pollution in the capital. It applies in the 16 boroughs of Mexico City and in 18 municipalities of the State of Mexico that are part of the Metropolitan Zone of the Valley of Mexico.
