The Culture Secretariat of the Government of CDMX, through the Direction of its Theater System, has scheduled various activities featuring artists from Mexican performing arts. The Festival for Equality 2025 celebrates its seventh edition at Teatro Sergio Magaña with the cabaret-theater show "Love Stories Are Not Exemplary or What Happens at the Party Stays at the Party."
On the occasion of International Women's Day, a program has been designed to allow reflection and visibility of women's social struggle. This time, the play "Inmarcesibles" will be presented at Teatro Benito Juárez, exploring the stereotypes faced by children. At the same theater, you can enjoy "A Place Without End" with choreography and direction by Sara Montero.
The Foro A Poco No will join the 8M activities with the company Gordas Expansivas Burlesqueras, which will stage the show ZooCabaret, directed by Arantza Durán. Another proposal is "When Everything Changes," a poetic and emotional staging that addresses youth problems such as bullying and the search for identity, in collaboration between Teatro Luna de Papel and 25 Producción.
On the other hand, from March 5 to 9, Aura Arreola and Guyphytsy Aldalai will present the butoh dance piece "Inmarcesibles" at the Cultural Center of the Forest. At Teatro Orientación Luisa Josefina Hernández, the play "Clic," based on the short novels of María Zayas from the 17th century, will be performed with a gender-focused approach to current violence.
In summary, various artistic and scenic proposals featuring Mexican artists will be presented throughout March in different theaters of CDMX, celebrating creativity and cultural diversity.
