The entertainment industry in Mexico is constantly evolving, with new trends aimed at attracting more visitors to amusement parks. One of the most prominent practices is the incorporation of special events, such as food festivals and horror festivals, with the goal of extending tourists' stays and encouraging them to return to enjoy the attractions. Mexico has positioned itself as one of the leading markets in the entertainment industry in Latin America, thanks to the quality of its fairgrounds for attractions, which benefit from tourism growth in the country.
Within the recreational complexes sector, which includes mechanical games, aquariums, and water parks, there has been an evolution in trends both internationally and regionally. This transformation is due to the inclusion of participatory activities, adventure sports, and immersive experiences in entertainment offerings. To support the growth of this sector and promote interaction among its members, the Global Association for the Attractions Industry (IAAPA) has announced the IAAPA Meeting: Latin America, Caribbean 2025.
The event, which will take place from March 24 to 26, 2025, in Mexico City, will bring together leaders from parks and attractions across the region to share knowledge, innovate, and generate business opportunities. The venue for the event in Mexico City stands out for its rich cultural, historical, and gastronomic offerings, making it the ideal place to host over 300 attendees from the sector. The IAAPA Meeting: Latin America, Caribbean 2025 will focus on connection, education, and trends in the parks and attractions sector.
During the event, participants will be able to enjoy educational conferences, exclusive EDUTours showcasing prominent attractions in Mexico City, and networking spaces designed to foster strategic alliances between operators and suppliers. Notable industry experts, such as Doug Akers from Universal Destinations & Experiences, Elizabeth Lugo from Grupo Xcaret, and Araceli Ramos from José Cuervo, will share their knowledge and experiences during the meeting.
Additionally, a Post Tour will be offered on March 27 and 28, which will include visits to iconic attractions in the states of Morelos and Puebla. In an interview with Publimetro, Paulina Reyes, vice president and executive director of IAAPA, highlighted the importance of this meeting to drive innovation, build strategic connections, and transform the future of the parks and attractions industry in Latin America and the Caribbean. During the event, topics such as creating innovative experiences, leadership, talent management, sustainability, marketing, and customer service will be addressed, with the participation of national and international speakers. Attendees will have the opportunity to enrich their knowledge and establish new connections during the IAAPA Meeting: Latin America, Caribbean 2025.
