The taqueria Los Paisas, located at Jesús María 131, in the Historic Center of Mexico City, is a historic place with over three decades of tradition. Known for their freshly made tortillas and their pastor recipe, Los Paisas is a landmark in the area, always busy and popular among diners.
The owners of Los Paisas are from Santiaguito de Velázquez, in Arandas, Jalisco, and claim that half of the taquerias in Mexico City follow the same style, with influences from that region. It is a place that inspires confidence, always with customers present and strategically located near the paper shops street in the Center.
In addition to their famous pastor, Los Paisas offers grilled tacos of beef, chorizo, and an irresistible campechano mix. The tacos are generous, with large tortillas and a variety of toppings at the bar, such as nopales, beans, guacamole, among others, to add to each customer's taste and make each taco unique and flavorful.
Politician Gerardo Fernández Noroña recently visited Los Paisas in the Historic Center after attending the 'Arancel Fest' in the Zócalo, an event called by President Claudia Sheinbaum. This place is among the culinary recommendations of the politician, which include everything from Cantina Palacio to Tacos de La Comisión. He highlighted the special flavor of the beef tacos and the pineapple-habanero sauce for the pastor tacos.
At Los Paisas, the prices are affordable, with each taco costing 40 pesos, whether it's pastor, campechano, beef, or longaniza. The drink offerings are varied, with sodas and fresh waters, ranging from 35 pesos for a 500 ml container to 55 pesos for a 946 ml one. Here you can enjoy the authentic classic taqueria experience with traditional flavors and a cozy atmosphere.
