The Collective Transportation System (STC) Metro of Mexico City (CDMX) is facing problems on various lines on Tuesday, March 11, 2025. Line 7 has been particularly affected, with the withdrawal of a unit causing delays of 10 to 15 minutes, generating chaos and discomfort among users.
On Line 3, specifically at Indios Verdes, a maximum demand of passengers has been recorded due to delays in the departure of trains, which in turn implies prolonged waits. In light of this situation, users are advised to seek alternative transportation to avoid setbacks.
Another critical point is Line 8, where trains are progressing slowly, causing congestion at stations and wait times exceeding eight minutes. Despite the complicated situation on some lines, it is reported that on Line 12, the service flows smoothly and no breakdowns have been reported.
Regarding Line 7, delays of more than 15 minutes have been reported due to a train breakdown, mainly affecting the stations Pino Suarez, Candelaria, and Balderas. On the other hand, Line 2 shows good progress of the units despite high demand, highlighting the opening of the Zócalo/Tenochtitlan station.
Users have also expressed their dissatisfaction on social media, pointing out problems with certain lines and the need to seek alternative routes. Given the passenger congestion on Line A, which originates from the poor dispatch of units from the depot, it is recommended to plan the trip in advance and consider other transportation options.
In summary, the STC Metro of CDMX is overwhelmed on March 11 due to issues on several lines, causing discomfort among users and the need to seek alternatives to avoid delays and setbacks in commuting.
