Metro Service Update for Mexico City

The Collective Transport System (STC) Metro of Mexico City (CDMX) presents different situations in its lines this Friday, March 14, 2025. On Line 1, although the Metro is moving smoothly, some stations such as Balderas, Candelaria, Pino Suárez, Tacubaya, and Pantitlán are experiencing high passenger flow. Meanwhile, on Line 2, there is good progress of units, but Hidalgo, Bellas Artes, and Pino Suárez have maximum passenger demand, although the Zócalo/Tenochtitlan station remains open.

On Line 3, users are desperate due to the slow progress of the units, with reports of up to 15 minutes of waiting to advance one station on the Green Line, despite no breakdowns being reported. Users are advised to seek alternatives due to the higher demand on that line.

As for Line 4, service remains stable with low demand, even though apparent high passenger flow with more than 7 minutes of waiting is reported at some stations. On the other hand, Line 5 shows good progress of units despite high passenger demand, while Line 6 has low demand and good service so far.

On Line 7, passenger congestion is observed at some stations, but the units of the STC are moving forward steadily. In contrast, Line 8 reports saturation problems due to poor service, so it is recommended to consider alternative transportation. On the other hand, Line 9 shows good progress in its services.

In general terms, it is noted that Line A has estimated times of up to 10 minutes to board the Metro, requiring precautions due to the maximum demand on that line. On the other hand, Line B reports good progress of units, meeting passenger demand, and on Line 12, no breakdowns have been recorded so far, consolidating the system as a good method of transportation on this day.
