Today, the Collective Transportation System (STC) Metro of Mexico City is facing various problems on its lines, causing delays and passenger overcrowding.
It has been reported that on Line 9, delays occurred due to the activation of the emergency lever on one of the trains. After resolving this situation, train operations are normalizing, although there is a high demand for users on this and other lines.
On Line 6, trains are taking between five and seven minutes at some stations due to the high influx of passengers. Meanwhile, on Line 7, delays of more than 10 minutes and a wait time of seven to 10 minutes have been reported due to poor service.
On Line 3, trains are departing late from the base, causing overcrowding at stations like Indios Verdes. Users are advised to seek alternative transportation, such as the Metrobús, given the maximum demand of passengers on this line.
In contrast, Line 4 shows stable service and low user demand at this time. However, similar issues are reported on Lines 1, 3, 7, and 8, all experiencing complications with train departures from the bases.
In general, it is observed that all lines of the Metro of CDMX are experiencing high passenger demand this Tuesday, March 18, a situation aggravated by the return of people after a festive period. Line 12 is one of the most affected, with overcrowding of users and trains stopped between stations.
Users are advised to take precautions, as delays and overcrowding are expected on several lines. It is important to remember to respect safety regulations and use the emergency levers only in case of necessity.
