Open House CDMX 2025: Celebrating Architecture

The Open House CDMX festival returns this year celebrating the architecture and design of Mexico City on May 3 and 4, 2025. In its third edition, the event will allow the public to access iconic buildings in the city to explore its cultural heritage for free.

Under the slogan "Detonators of change," this year's edition will focus on highlighting constructions that have caused a disruption in the space simply by existing. For two days, the doors of 50 venues will be opened for free access or by prior registration, where attendees can enjoy guided tours, routes, and an information platform to enrich their architectural experience.

Among the places available for visiting are the Anahuacalli Museum of Diego Rivera, the Center for the Image/Ciudadela of Isaac Broid, the Experimental Museum El Eco of Mathias Goeritz, among others. Entrance to these places will be free but limited and subject to the availability of each venue.

Open House CDMX is part of the Open House Worldwide network, which operates in various cities internationally. In the Mexico City edition, the event is organized by architects Victoria Escalante and Mar Tomás, along with producer Mariela Martínez. The curation of the selected venues has been carried out by a group of professionals committed to promoting the architectural value of the city.

In addition, the collaboration of specialists such as Selene Patlán and Virginie Velasco, the latter a member of the festival's advisory council, has enriched the cultural offering of the event. Notable figures of renown in architecture, such as Annelena Malet, Alonso de Garay, and Felipe Leal, are part of the council and will offer special tours during Open House CDMX, thus consolidating the experience for visitors interested in exploring the architectural wealth of the Mexican capital.
