In Mexico City, preparations are already underway for the arrival of the FIFA World Cup 2026. During this month of December, FIFA in collaboration with local governments revealed the official posters of the host cities, including the Mexican cities of CDMX, Monterrey, and Guadalajara.
The official posters, unlike those of other venues, were designed by the Mexican artist Cuemanche and feature mural-style artwork with vibrant colors and representative characteristics of each state. This joint effort of the three Mexican host cities aims to represent the unity and preparation of the country to host this major football event.
Clara Brugada Molina, head of Government of Mexico City, shared the first official advertisement spot of the capital in anticipation of the FIFA World Cup 2026 that will take place in Mexico, the United States, and Canada. The Azteca Stadium will host its third World Cup, becoming the first venue to host three inaugurations, with Monterrey and Guadalajara also as game venues.
In the spot, Brugada and other city officials invite everyone to experience a World Cup with fair play and in a just society, promoting values of health, diversity, feminism, security, and economic development. Mexico City is preparing to host this grand football event in June 2026.
