The National Secretariat of Citizen Security of Mexico City (SSC CDMX) has announced that this April the first National Drill 2025 will take place, which will activate seismic alerts nationwide.
The drill is scheduled for Tuesday, April 29, at 11:30 AM. The SSC CDMX has called on citizens to follow the instructions and actively participate in this preventive exercise. It is vital that it is carried out in an orderly manner and that recommendations are followed to avoid any panic or negative consequences in the event of a real earthquake.
In the words of the Secretariat: "Asking for calm and adherence to instructions, we remind when and at what time the drill will take place so that the population has clear actions to follow to ensure everyone's safety. Actively participating in this drill will allow us to have an efficient and safe action strategy in the face of possible disasters of this nature."
