Safety Concerns as Concert Stage Collapses in CDMX

On the afternoon of this Thursday, a stage collapsed in the plaza of the Gustavo A. Madero mayor's office, in Mexico City, where a concert was scheduled to celebrate Mother's Day. Authorities reported that at least seven people were injured, two of whom were transferred for additional medical attention. Civil Protection teams, from the Secretariat of Security, and ambulances are on-site to provide support to the affected.

The Gustavo A. Madero mayor's office had organized the "Grandiosas" concert, featuring Alicia Villarreal, Angela Carrasco, and Ana Cirré. The incident occurred moments before the concert was set to start when the stage structure collapsed in the plaza, fortunately without reports of serious injuries.

Civil Protection is already investigating the causes of the stage collapse. Emergency services have responded to the scene to provide assistance to the injured.
