A part of the stage where Alicia Villarreal was to offer a free concert for Mother's Day collapsed in Mexico City. Civil Protection of CDMX confirmed that the structure collapsed before the singer's performance this Thursday. The fall occurred in the plaza of the Gustavo A. Madero Mayor's Office, and both Civil Protection and emergency services mobilized to the scene.

No official statement has yet been issued regarding possible injuries due to the stage collapse. Alongside Alicia Villarreal, Ángela Carrasco and Ana Cirrhé were also scheduled to perform at the musical event planned for 5:00 PM. One media outlet reported at least seven people injured and trapped under the collapsed structure.

Civil Protection of CDMX provided information about the incident, confirming seven injured people, two of whom were taken for medical treatment. It was mentioned that strong winds in the city were the main cause of the accident, with gusts of up to 50 km per hour, leading to a yellow alert. Authorities confirmed that the collapse was due to these adverse weather conditions.

Authorities from the Gustavo A. Madero Mayor's Office ruled out fatalities as a result of the incident and stated that only workers from the setup company were present at the site at the time of the collapse, none with serious injuries. Although two people were taken to the hospital, no information was provided about the severity of their injuries. So far, no decision has been made regarding Alicia Villarreal's concert, whether it will be postponed or entirely canceled.
