Critical Failures in Mexico City's Metro Line B Service

Line B of the Mexico City Metro, which connects Ciudad Azteca with Buenavista, faced problems for the second consecutive day, causing inconvenience among users. Complaints on social media described the service as poor and disastrous, demanding urgent improvements.

This Thursday, a power outage was reported in the electrical system, causing significant delays in the operation of the service. Although the Collective Transport System Metro reported that train circulation was quickly restored, the issues highlighted a recurring situation on this line.

The incident added to an occurrence from the previous day when a guide bar bent between the Oceanía and Deportivo Oceanía stations, resulting in a partial service closure and chaos in the stations, requiring the implementation of alternative transport.

Users experienced abrupt interruptions and a lack of clear information about the causes of the problems on Line B. Some reported abnormal movements while inside the cars. The Collective Transport System indicated that an inspection of the electrical system was carried out, causing slow marches in several sections.

Waits of up to 30 or 40 minutes, trains stopped in tunnels, and overcrowding on the platforms were reported by users, resulting in another day of frustration for hundreds of passengers. The situation was described as critical by those who depended on the service during peak hours.
