The Citizen Security Secretariat (SSC) of Mexico City carried out an operation during the first night of the 'Rodada del Terror,' resulting in the transfer of 511 motorcycles to vehicle depots to ensure the safety of participants and the general public. During the operation, a man was detained after attempting to evade a checkpoint and assaulting a police officer. He was handed over to the Attorney General's Office of Mexico City. As part of the operation, SSC traffic personnel implemented security and prevention measures in the Cuauhtémoc, Venustiano Carranza, Iztapalapa, and Coyoacán mayoralties. Key measures included escorting and supervising the motorcycle routes, managing crowds and controlling vehicle traffic, as well as using tow trucks to remove motorcycles that violated regulations. The agency stated it will maintain surveillance over the weekend due to possible repetitions of the event in other parts of the city, with the aim of protecting the physical and property safety of the population.
