Mexico City's Driving Restrictions: Saturday Rules

Mexico City's 'Hoy No Circula' program restricts vehicle circulation to reduce air pollution. Find out which vehicles will be off the roads this Saturday and the hours of operation.

Mexico City's Driving Restrictions: Saturday Rules

The 'Hoy No Circula' program establishes measures applicable to vehicle circulation, with the aim of preventing, minimizing, and controlling pollutant emissions. In order to standardize and minimize the impact on the Megalopolis, Mexico City, and the State of Mexico, this measure was established to limit the circulation of private vehicles, regardless of the origin of their license plates.

Different from the program used from Monday to Friday, the cars that cannot circulate will depend on both the hologram and the last digit of the license plates, divided into even (0-2-4-6-8) and odd (1-3-5-7-9).

This Saturday, it will be vehicles with hologram 2 and foreign license plates. It is important to mention that vehicles with Hologram 1, even plate ending, also do not circulate on the second and fourth Saturday of each month, and foreign plates apply to all Saturdays.

The 'Hoy No Circula Sabatino' applies with the same restrictions as the regular one, starting at 05:00 hours and ending at 22:00 hours.

The only day when 'Hoy No Circula' does not apply to any vehicle is Sunday, on that day it is excluded from all types of restriction.
