Man Who Promised Car to Twins' Family Robbed

Heriberto Vargas, the man who committed to giving a car to the family of the twins who went viral after being seen walking the streets of Mexico City with two oxygen tanks, was himself a victim of theft. In a message posted over the weekend on his social networks, Vargas assured that, despite the robbery, he will not stop his project to support the family. 'They broke in, but we continue to work as always, all the money they took changes nothing,' he stated. 'Thanks to everyone for their patience, support, and good vibes,' he noted in another post. The robbery suffered by Vargas, although regrettable, has not stopped the mobilization of support that the viral story of the twins generated. The case grew due to the expectation created by the offer of the vehicle and the importance of acts of solidarity like this one. Vargas reiterated that despite the setbacks, the support will continue and that the delivery of the car aims not only to improve the family's mobility but also to recognize the story that moved many people throughout Mexico. 'A moment that not only fills a family with joy, but all of Mexico with happiness, because many people saw this story and it touched many hearts,' he concluded. 'I hope it is of some use to them.' The man assured that he will find those responsible and that he will continue with his work and that the situation will not affect the delivery of the vehicle, which seeks to facilitate the family's daily life. The story of the twins, who are a little over two months old, went viral after a video captured the couple walking through Mexico City carrying the babies in harnesses and portable oxygen tanks. The video was recorded on January 8 by Yessenia Barraza while traveling in a rideshare. After the video was shared, Vargas offered to give the twins' parents a car for free, and then began searching for the family until he found them. 'Sometimes life gives you stories that you cannot ignore. Thank God for allowing us to be part of such a special moment,' wrote the entrepreneur recently. The delivery of the car will take place between February 6 and 15 in an event that will include the participation of different solidarity groups and a Mexican television station, to ensure that the moment develops with respect and discretion. 'I understand that many people are asking and want to know more, but this is a good deed done with respect and from the heart, not something to be announcing or shouting from the rooftops,' Vargas also emphasized. He also stressed that his intention is to act with commitment and without the need for publicity. 'Things done with the heart do not need noise, they need commitment. Today it is time to fulfill with the heart.'
