The chase was brief: they were caught at the intersection of Francisco Zarco and Martinelli, in the Peralvillo neighborhood, Cuauhtémoc mayor's office. With both detainees, the officers conducted a preventive search in accordance with protocols. Just minutes after a man left a bank branch on streets of Benito Juárez with 750,000 pesos in cash, two individuals followed him, approached him, threatened him with a pistol, and snatched the money. The report was clear: a robbery of a bank customer at the intersection of Parroquia and University Avenue, in the Santa Cruz Atoyac neighborhood. Immediately, operators at the C2 South Command Center began tracking the suspects in real time. When they were signaled to stop, the motorcycle's passenger got off and fled on foot. They secured the 750,000 pesos in cash and the motorcycle they attempted to flee in. The detainees, a 22-year-old man and a 26-year-old man, were informed of their legal rights. From the screens, they monitored every movement while the ground police prepared a checkpoint. The interception was carried out on the Inner Circuit and Insurgentes Avenue. They located them while they were traveling on the Inner Circuit and Jacarandas Avenue. Along with the money and the motorcycle, they were placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry agent, who will define their legal situation and continue with the investigations. In a matter of seconds, they boarded a black motorcycle with a white tank and sped off. The monitors from the Command and Control Center (C2) South detected the robbery through the surveillance cameras and alerted the uniformed officers of the Citizen Security Secretariat (SSC) via radio.
