According to initial reports, the cargo unit, which was transporting plastic material, lost control and ended up overturned on the asphalt, completely blocking the lanes of traffic. The victim was traveling in a passenger car in the area at the time of the incident. Maneuvers and risk zone The accident occurred around 7:30 in the morning, and several hours later, the highway remained closed while maneuvers were carried out to remove the trailer and the vehicles involved. The La Pera curve is known for its danger due to its sharp turns, where accidents of this type are frequently registered, especially with heavy vehicles. Authorities recommended that drivers avoid the area, take precautions, and consider alternative routes, as the removal work could extend for several hours. Some motorists opted to turn back in the opposite direction towards Cuernavaca due to the lack of passage. Faced with the situation, Federal Roads and Bridges (Capufe) enabled circulation through the La Pera camp as an alternate route; however, a heavy vehicle flow was recorded in that area.
