The Congress of Mexico City held a Solemn Medal Delivery Session, recognizing 45 individuals, collectives, and organizations for their contributions in various fields such as health, sports, tourism, youth, and animal defense. During the ceremony corresponding to the III Legislature, the work of those who, from their trenches, have positively impacted the capital's society was highlighted. In the health category, nine awards were given to outstanding profiles for their social and professional commitment. Among them, the work of Dr. Jesús Emmanuel Rosas Nava in medical care stands out, as well as the altruistic work of the organization Visibilizando Voces. Humanitarian initiatives such as México Sonríe and efforts in mental health, such as the Colectivo Poner la Salud en las Manos del Pueblo, were also recognized. In research, the work of Dr. María Teresa Ambrosio Morales was distinguished. In animal defense, Fundación K7, rescuer Angélica Paola Prado Amaro, and lawyer Susana Evelia Ramírez Terrazas were recognized for their legal defense of animals. The academic career of María Teresa Ambrosio Morales in animal welfare was also recognized. High-performance athletes such as Regina Estela García Pacheco and Isaías Quetzalcóatl Camacho Guerrero were highlighted. Likewise, the sporting career of Patricia Trejo Ruiz and the children's women's team “Club Osas” from Iztapalapa were awarded. Verónica Pérez de la Cruz was recognized in teaching, while Dr. María Teresa Ambrosio Morales was recognized in research. In adapted sports, Palmira Martínez Cárdenas and Agustín Ernesto Robles Galindo were recognized, the latter representing the youth soccer 5 team for people with visual disabilities. The Meritorious Tourism Medal distinguished ten people for their contribution to positioning Mexico City as an international destination. Among the awardees are Perla Labarthe Álvarez and Roberto Shimizu Kinoshita for their promotion from culture and gastronomy, as well as Víctor González Herrera in sports tourism. The Colibrí Viajero program was also recognized for promoting access to tourism for vulnerable sectors. With 14 recognitions, the Youth Merit Medal highlighted outstanding young people in innovation, culture, sports, human rights, and the environment. Figures such as María Valentina Soto Galván, Iván Durán Barrera, and Valeria Villar Parra were awarded for their impact in academic and social spheres. The work in human rights of Samantha Stephanie Azpeitia Díaz and Eriari Cruz Andrade was also recognized. Finally, the CDMX Congress awarded four medals to people and organizations dedicated to animal protection. Among them, Olga Marina Robelo Zarza was recognized.
