A man lost his life this afternoon after falling from the 21st floor of a building located on Paseo de la Reforma Avenue, in the Tabacalera neighborhood, Cuauhtémoc borough, in Mexico City. Elements of the Citizen Security Secretariat (SSC) went to the scene after receiving a report of an injured person inside the building. According to preliminary information, the man was on one of the upper levels of the building with his belongings, when he allegedly threw himself into the void. The fall occurred towards the lobby area, where the impact caused his death at the scene.

Authority Intervention After the events, capital police cordoned off the area and notified the Public Ministry agent, who initiated the corresponding procedures. Forensic services personnel carried out the body removal and gathered evidence to clarify the circumstances of the case. To date, authorities have not confirmed the reasons that led the man to fall from the building, so it will be the capital prosecutor's office to determine if it was a suicide or another type of situation. The case is under investigation while the victim's identification and the progress of the inquiries are awaited to establish exactly how the events occurred.
