The Mexico City Metro reported a significant disruption on Line A due to a broken catenary, forcing the implementation of a provisional service and suspending operations at key stations. Through its official channels, the system informed that service is only operating from Pantitlán to Santa Marta in both directions while the electrical installation that caused the failure is being inspected. Consequently, the stations Los Reyes and La Paz remain out of service, affecting thousands of users who daily use this section that connects with the State of Mexico.
Adrián Rubalcava confirmed that the interruption is due to the catenary break, which prevents train circulation between Santa Marta and La Paz. “The technical staff of the System is working to address the situation and restore service as soon as possible,” he stated, while asking for users' understanding in the face of the contingency.
Authorities indicated that they will continue to report on the progress of the repair through official channels, while technical brigades work in the affected area.
