Multiple Events in Mexico City on April 4, 2026

This Saturday, April 4, 2026, Mexico City will host numerous social events. According to the schedule of the Citizen Security Secretariat (SSC), the city expects multiple marches, gatherings, and bike rides, which could cause complications on key roads, especially in the Cuauhtémoc, Miguel Hidalgo, and Venustiano Carranza municipalities. From early morning, various groups will take to the streets with social, religious, and community demands, so drivers and public transport users are advised to take precautions. One of the first events will be led by the United Front of Autistic Mexico, which will hold the “3rd Anti-Autistic Walk” starting at 9:00 AM. The contingent will depart from Parque Aguascalientes in the Venustiano Carranza municipality, heading to the Mexico City Institute for People with Disabilities. This activity aims to raise awareness for autism from a community perspective. At the same time, in the Cuauhtémoc municipality, the “No More Innocent Prisoners” collective will gather at the criminal courts in the San Rafael colony to demand a review of judicial cases, which could lead to a presence of protesters in the area. Later, at 12:00 PM, one of the largest gatherings is expected: the “March for Jesus 2026,” organized by the Christian movement in Mexico. The march will begin on Paseo de la Reforma, at the Gandhi monument, and advance towards the Angel of Independence, where a massive religious event will take place. Key roads that may be affected: Paseo de la Reforma, Angel of Independence area, San Rafael colony (Cuauhtémoc municipality), and Venustiano Carranza (Parque Aguascalientes area). Concentrations are also expected at points like Plaza Tlaxcoaque, Juárez Hemicycle, Mother's Monument, and the Historic Center, where collectives will hold social and cultural activities. Additionally, a protest is scheduled for 6:30 PM at the capital's Zócalo by the Front Against Gentrification CDMX, which could cause disruptions in the city center towards the evening. Capital authorities recommend: anticipating travel times, avoiding concentration areas if not necessary, using alternative routes, and staying informed through official channels. This Saturday also coincides with various cultural, religious, and recreational activities in the capital, so traffic could be even more compromised in several municipalities.
