Mexico City is expected to experience complicated traffic this Sunday due to various marches, rallies, and blockades that could affect mobility in different parts of the capital, especially in delegations like Cuauhtémoc, Benito Juárez, and Coyoacán. Authorities anticipate traffic complications mainly on Paseo de la Reforma, the Historic Center, Calzada de Tlalpan, and the main avenues in the south and east.
It is recommended to use alternatives such as the Circuito Interior or avoid central areas during the day. One of the main events of the day will be a march starting at 13:00. Participants, families of missing marines, will depart from the Ángel de la Independencia and head to the Zócalo. The contingent is expected to march along Paseo de la Reforma, Avenida Juárez, and streets in the Historic Center, causing significant traffic disruptions.
From early morning, there will be gatherings and protests at various points. At 09:00, there will be a concentration at the Secretaría de Marina in Coyoacán. At 09:30, a social group concentration is scheduled at the Congress of the Union in the Venustiano Carranza delegation. At 10:00, social organizations will protest at 20 de Noviembre s/n and Fray Servando Teresa de Mier 77 in the Obrera neighborhood.
During the day, blockages are also expected. At 11:00, workers from the capital government will block Metro Viaducto (Line 2) on Calzada de Tlalpan and march towards the city center. Authorities suggest leaving early, consulting alternative routes, and staying informed in real time.
