Major Disruptions in Mexico City Metro: Delays and Overcrowding

Users of the Collective Transportation System Metro reported complications on various lines today, with an emphasis on delays, high passenger volume, and complaints about the condition of the facilities. According to real-time reports, Line B was one of the most affected, where passengers denounced that trains remained stopped for up to 20 minutes at stations such as Garibaldi. Metro responded that the situation was channeled to the operational area for review. Additionally, complaints were also reported about cleanliness conditions at stations, where users pointed out bad smells and garbage accumulation. Recommendations for users In this scenario, authorities of the Collective Transportation System Metro recommend: Allow doors to close freely; Let passengers exit before boarding; Do not descend to the tracks under any circumstances. If you plan to use Metro today, take precautions, leave in advance, and consider alternative routes, especially if your journey includes Line B or Line 3. In this regard, Metro reported that the service was affected by maneuvers to remove a person who had descended to the tracks. Line B, the most affected by delays The Collective Transportation System Metro itself confirmed that train progress on Line B was slow due to this situation, although it assured that work is already underway to speed up circulation. Users expressed their annoyance on social networks, stating that delays are constant on this line, which affects their daily commutes. Line 3 with high passenger volume; Line 12 generates concern On the other hand, Line 3 operates in all its stations — from Indios Verdes to Universidad — but presents high passenger volume, which complicates boarding trains during peak hours. Authorities asked users to allow doors to close freely to improve mobility. Meanwhile, on Line 12, a user denounced alleged infrastructure failures at the Tezonco station, heading towards Mixcoac, pointing out deterioration in the rail fastenings, which — he accused — could represent a risk for passengers.

Children's Shows and Tribute in Mexico City

Mexico City will host traveling shows and workshops on oral storytelling with retro-projections aimed at introducing children to literature, theater, and visual arts. Through performance, the initiative seeks to encourage new approaches to educational content. The team «Historias de Papel» narrates stories by various authors addressing themes such as discrimination, children's rights, child labor and poverty, empathy, personal growth, solidarity, trust, and friendship, as well as the value of emotional connection and respect for diversity. The proposal includes retro-projections inspired by works of visual artists recognized by children, and after the show, a dialogue is opened where artists discuss the presented themes with the children. The retro-projection format offers a way to tell, paint, and unfold stories in the venue, incorporating languages of cinema, literature, visual arts, and theater so that children can not only enjoy a scenic experience but also learn. This project will be presented for a short season at the Forum A poco no, on Saturdays and Sundays in April at 1 PM. In «Contando Pintores», with stories and poems, they will paint lakes, bugs, birds, and black holes and have an approach to the works of Van Gogh, Dalí, and Xul Sol. Tickets can be purchased at the forum box office or through the Ticketmaster system. At the Café Concert «Lo de Inés», next Saturday, April 11, at 9 PM, a tribute to the Argentine singer Mercedes Sosa, known as «La Negra» or «The Voice of Latin America», will take place. For this tribute, a group of artists including singer and musician Ernesto Anaya, multi-instrumentalist in charge of musical direction; Damián Tuso, musician, arranger, master of Argentine tango and folklore; Montserrat Revah, guest percussionist; and María Inés Montilla, singer, author of the original idea and responsible for the script, have prepared a show that will premiere the piece «Con la piel en América». This is a continuation of «Nadie puede para el viento», premiered the previous year as a first tribute to this singer who performed on multiple stages in Mexico. Through a musical narrative, this show captures the essence of Mercedes Sosa, who, despite exile, always showed her coherence, political commitment, and artistic militancy. The event to enjoy La Negra's repertoire, which describes part of the life of a woman who, despite the physical distance, never stopped feeling and singing for her land, will take place at the forum located in the Argentine restaurant Quebracho, at Hamburgo 313, Col. Juárez, in CDMX. «Historias de Pared, Performance for Infancies», declared a Project of Cultural Interest by the Nation of Argentina, is a pedagogical and social project created and produced in Mexico.
