The Mexico Grand Prix of Formula 1 is approaching and this Monday more than 50 tons of equipment arrived at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, marking the start of the countdown to the beginning of F1ESTA. Several planes landed at Felipe Angeles International Airport with single-seaters, technical equipment from FIA, Formula 1, teams, and broadcast equipment for the race. A team of more than a hundred people will be in charge of setting everything up in the Paddock and the main straight, to then carry out the final preparations for the most important weekend for motorsport in Mexico.
With the arrival of the equipment, final preparations begin for the Mexico Grand Prix, which will take place from October 25 to 27 in Mexico City. Since Formula 1 returned to our country in 2015 after 31 years of absence, the race has been held every year, except for 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In these eight editions, Red Bull has been the dominant team at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez with five victories, while the other three were for Mercedes. Max Verstappen, the Dutch driver, has been the dominant figure with five wins with the Red Bull team, remaining at the top of the podium.
"The great desire of Mexicans is for Sergio Checo Perez to win at home, but the closest he has been are two third places in 2021 and 2022," sources close to the team stated.
