Wicked-themed drinks arrive at Starbucks in Mexico City

Starbucks has launched two new drinks inspired by the famous musical "Wicked": Glinda's Pink Potion and Elphaba's Green Cold Brew. These handcrafted beverages based on the iconic characters from the story will be available for a limited time at stores in Mexico starting October 22.

Glinda's Pink Potion includes Mango Dragonfruit Starbucks Refreshers mixed with coconut milk, ice, and pieces of freeze-dried pitaya, topped with cold strawberry foam and a drizzle of strawberry sauce. On the other hand, Elphaba's Green Cold Brew combines Starbucks Cold Brew with a special blend of coffee beans, hand-prepared in small batches to ensure a smooth and extraordinary flavor.

The story of "Wicked" focuses on Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West with green skin, and Glinda, the Good Witch, and their unexpected friendship that leads them to fulfill epic destinies. The musical film will premiere on November 21, 2025, but before that, Ariana Grande, who plays one of the main characters, will visit Mexico on November 11, 2024, to promote the film.

Through a collaboration with Universal Pictures, Starbucks has brought the magic of "Wicked" to its stores, offering fans of the musical a unique experience with its new drinks and products inspired by the characters and places of Oz. The film premiere in Mexico City will feature the presence of Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, and director Jon M. Chu at the National Auditorium.
