Nighttime Stroll ‘Move on Bike’ Celebrates Day of the Dead

On the night of Saturday, October 26, Mexico City (CDMX) was filled with colors, creativity, and tradition with the Night Ride "Move on Bike" for the Day of the Dead. More than 90 thousand people gathered for this event organized by the Mobility Secretariat (Semovi), becoming an unmissable annual event for lovers of this traditional Mexican festivity who enjoy sports and recreational activities.

Participants, dressed in costumes of skulls, catrinas, ghosts, and other traditional and creative characters, traveled 20 kilometers along the city's main avenues, using bicycles, rollerblades, and even walking. The route started at the Petroleum Fountain and passed by emblematic places such as the Diana the Hunter, the Angel of Independence, and the Caballito Tower, culminating on Izazaga Street, in the heart of the Historic Center.

The costume contest was one of the most anticipated attractions of the night, where imagination and talent stood out. From catrinas and catrines with detailed outfits and impressive makeup to glowing skeletons, fantastic creatures, and horror movie characters, originality was the main focus.

This event, in addition to paying tribute to the Day of the Dead, one of Mexico's most important traditions, offers thousands of people the opportunity to enjoy the city in a different way, combining sport, culture, and fun. Each year, the Night Ride increases in participation and creativity, becoming one of the most awaited activities during the celebrations of this iconic festivity.

Thus, CDMX was filled with festivity and nostalgia, transforming its streets into a stage of tradition, art, and culture during this magical night ride. The event has become an emblematic celebration that allows locals and tourists to enjoy one of the country's most beloved festivities in an active and fun way.
