Next November, 'Every Minute Counts' will premiere, a series that recounts real stories that occurred during the devastating earthquake that impacted Mexico City in 1985. Directed by Jorge Michel Grau, the production addresses the experiences of characters such as a hospital doctor, a journalist, and other citizens who become heroes amidst adverse circumstances.

One of the protagonists, Osvaldo Benavides, highlighted the relevance of using new technologies and the high level of production that raises the standard in Latin America. He also emphasized the importance of honoring history and offering a tribute to the events that took place nearly 40 years ago.

The documentation process for the series, which lasted eight years, involved the collaboration of Iván Salcido, recognized as the chronicler of the earthquake, who helped rescue stories that had not been told before. The director, Grau, expressed an interest in amplifying lesser-known narratives to provide a complete perspective on the tragedy.

For her part, actress Maya Zapata described the thrilling experience of working with new virtual production technology, which combines live images with computer-generated graphics to enhance the realism of the scenes. For Zapata, the series is a powerful story that will resonate emotionally with the audience and offer a dose of impactful reality.

In line with Benavides' reflection, the production also seeks to highlight the unity and solidarity that arose among the population after the earthquake, despite existing divisions. The actor mentioned the intensity of the shoot due to the rawness of the depicted scenes and underscored the importance of being faithful in recounting the events, considering it a respectful tribute to the memory of those affected.
