The Miss Universe pageant returns to Mexico after 17 years, becoming the fifth time the country hosts this renowned international event. The crown symbolizes the values of beauty, empowerment, and elegance that characterize the competition.
The Preliminary Competition will take place on November 14, 2024, at the Arena Ciudad de Mexico at 8:00 PM, where the public can witness the contestants in an event presented by the current Miss Universe, Sheynnis Palacios, and Miss Universe 2022, R’Bonney Gabriel.
The grand final will occur at the same Arena Ciudad de Mexico, presented by Mario López and Olivia Culpo. The event will feature a musical selection by Emilio Estefan, who will also be the Musical Director of the ceremony.
A notable aspect of this edition is the new competition format in which 30 semifinalists will be selected from the preliminary rounds, 12 will advance to the evening gown stage, and finally, the five finalists will answer the final question.
The official Miss Universe crown will be unveiled on November 13, 2024, at an exclusive event in the Arena Ciudad de Mexico, where all the delegates will gather to reveal the exquisite crown designed by Jewelmer, adorned with a luminous pearl from the South Sea.
Regarding participation, this year will feature a total of 127 contestants from various countries vying for the coveted Miss Universe crown, including Mexico's representative, María Fernanda Beltrán Figueroa, 24 years old.
The venue for the pageant, which will take place in two phases, will be the Arena CDMX, where the participants will seek to advance to the final, where only 30 contestants will compete for the crown. The Miss Universe 2024 final will take place on November 16 at 6:30 PM, with live broadcasts via Azteca Uno and the Telemundo app, among other options.
Access to the Miss Universe 2024 final at Arena CDMX will have different prices depending on the chosen area, with tickets available for various sections until the event date, which can be purchased by interested individuals.
As part of the competition, the public will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite contestant to advance to the final, following the steps indicated on the official pageant website or in the corresponding digital application.
