Andrés Tovar Reflects on His Journey in Television

The renowned television producer Andrés Tovar, known for his work on shows like 'Acércate a Rocío', was invited to the online program 'Who Takes Care of the Leader?' hosted by coach Luisa Altamirano. During the conversation, Tovar revealed that he started his career in television as a production assistant and shared details of his beginnings in the industry.

The creator of successful television concepts in Mexico like 'Sale el Sol' and 'De Pisa Corre' recalled how he started from the bottom, performing simple tasks like carrying memos and, in a funny anecdote, taking the producer's shoes to be polished. Tovar also mentioned that to survive in Mexico City at the beginning of his career, he had to sell mole because his salary was not enough to cover his expenses.

At one point in the conversation, Andrés Tovar revealed that despite the adversities, he managed to rise in the industry from being a production assistant to becoming a floor manager. He recalls with special emphasis the day when an experienced colleague dismissed his dreams of being a producer, but despite the obstacles, he achieved his goal. He highlighted the importance of discipline, consistency, and determination on his path to success.

In the interview, Tovar mentioned past experiences with authoritarian producers and emphasized the importance of leading his teams with harmony and respect. Despite managing successful television productions, the producer maintains a positive work environment for his collaborators, without neglecting the quality of his content.

Finally, Andrés Tovar shared an emotional anecdote about the time he had to interrupt a work meeting for a moment to comfort his little daughter, who was one year and four months old. These personal and professional experiences have shaped the career of a young and prominent producer in Mexican television.
