Inclusion and Diversity in Miss Universe 2024

In the current edition of Miss Universe, the age limit has been broken to allow the participation of women with children. Some of the unique contestants in Miss Universe 2024 are:

Logina Salah, the representative of Egypt, stands out for her vitiligo skin. Despite being bullied for this condition since her childhood, she has become a beauty icon collaborating with renowned brands such as Chanel, Dior, Charlotte Tilbury, and Sephora.

Beatrice Njoya, Miss Malta, is the first 40-year-old participant in the 73 editions of the pageant and is a single mother of three children. As a survivor of domestic, sexual, and emotional abuse, she advocates against violence towards women.

Jenelle Thongs, representative of Trinidad and Tobago, is recognized for being the only curvy contestant in Miss Universe this year. She is the second plus-size participant in the history of the pageant, following Jane Dipika Garetse the previous year.

The final of Miss Universe 2024 will take place on Saturday, November 16, at the Arena CDMX, one of the most prominent venues in the capital of Mexico. This beauty pageant is one of the most important globally with 130 women competing for the crown, highlighting diversity and the inclusion of participants with unique characteristics.

In this edition, Miss Universe stands out for changing its rules to promote inclusion and variety among the participants, demonstrating that beauty goes beyond traditional standards.
