The Government of Mexico City began the delivery of the Men's Well-Being Pension program for ages 60 to 64. A support of 3,000 pesos bimonthly will be granted to more than 77,000 beneficiaries in that age range during the year 2025. The Head of Government of CDMX, Clara Brugada Molina, led the delivery of this benefit at an event in the Zócalo.
"We want Mexico City to have the most important social program to help from the age of 60 in a short time. So, long live the men of Mexico City!" exclaimed Brugada Molina. To date, five social programs have been created in her administration, benefiting 800,000 people this year.
The Secretary of Inclusion and Social Welfare, Araceli Damián González, highlighted that Mexico City is the only entity in the country with a pension for men aged 60 to 64. These beneficiaries will also receive preventive medical care. The city thus becomes a pioneer in providing this type of support program.
Clara Brugada mentioned that with the inclusion of the program "My Scholarship to Start," the social protection network in the capital approaches 2 million supports. She also emphasized the importance of providing pensions to both men and women in this age range, highlighting gender equality in the city.
The Men's Well-Being Pension program for ages 60 to 64 is complemented by actions to promote health, physical activity, free legal advice, job offers, and access to credits for entrepreneurial projects. This is another step forward in the well-being of all people, especially the most needy, reaffirming the commitment to equality and solidarity in Mexico City.
