Weather Forecast for Mexico City

On Wednesday night, a temperature between 18 and 16 degrees Celsius is forecasted in Mexico City, with no chances of rain but with south winds at 10-20 km/h and gusts of up to 45 km/h.

For Thursday, January 30, a cold dawn is expected with a possibility of dropping to 10 degrees Celsius around 06:00. In light of this, Civil Protection has advised the population to stay alert for warnings from the Early Warning System.

Cold front number 25 will affect the northwest, north, and northeast of the country, bringing temperature drops, isolated rains, strong winds, and possible dust storms in those areas. Warm conditions are also expected in mountainous regions of Baja California, Sonora, Chihuahua, and Durango, with a chance of snow or sleet in certain mountain ranges.

In contrast, a low-pressure channel is anticipated in the southeast, along with the entry of moisture from several bodies of water, generating rains in the south and southeast, including the Yucatán Peninsula. Lastly, an anticyclonic circulation will cause warm to hot temperatures in most of the country, except for the northernmost and northeastern areas.

Extreme temperatures will range from -10 to -5 °C in mountainous areas of several entities, to maximums of 35 to 40 °C in states like Jalisco, Colima, Michoacán, Guerrero, and others. Additionally, it is expected that on Wednesday, temperatures of 25 degrees Celsius will be recorded in Santiago de Querétaro and Toluca.
