A minibus with passengers crashed into a bus stop at the intersection of Eje 7 Sur Municipio Libre and Rumania Street, located in the Portales neighborhood, in the Benito Juárez borough of Mexico City. According to initial reports, the driver lost control of the vehicle due to speeding, resulting in a direct impact against the bus stop structure.

At the scene of the accident, injured passengers and pedestrians were seen being attended to by emergency services that arrived minutes after the incident. Five people were injured as a result of the collision. Authorities carried out the necessary tasks to remove the minibus and restore traffic as quickly as possible, while assessing the damage to the bus stop.

Images captured by the cameras of the Command, Control, Computing, Communications, and Citizen Contact Center of Mexico City (C5) showed the exact moment when the minibus impacted the bus stop due to the inability to brake in time, causing damage to both the vehicle and urban infrastructure. Images and videos of the accident soon circulated on social media.

At least four people were injured in the crash, prompting emergency services, including paramedics and firefighters, to quickly respond to provide medical attention and secure the area. The accident caused significant traffic congestion in the area, as Eje 7 Sur is a main artery connecting various areas of the city.
