On Thursday, January 30, 2025, the Mexico City Metro Collective Transportation System reported on the operational status of several of its lines.
Line A has not reported any failures so far, but passenger congestion has been recorded at some stations. On the other hand, in Line B, although no malfunctions have been reported, users have experienced inconsistencies in service with wait times of up to ten minutes to board the train. It is recommended to follow the staff's instructions and allow doors to close freely.
Line 8 operates normally with no reported failures, while Line 9 has high passenger demand, but trains are running smoothly. Conversely, Line 12 is experiencing high influx due to the slow progress of trains.
As for Line 7, problems have been detected in train progress, causing wait times of up to ten minutes. Line 1 is experiencing a high influx of passengers at some stations, which increases waiting times, and Line 2 is experiencing high traffic at certain stops, such as Hidalgo, Bellas Artes, and Pino Suárez.
In contrast, Line 4 has no reported failures, with an actual wait time of five minutes, and Line 5 shows moderate demand with wait times of four to six minutes. Meanwhile, Line 6 faced setbacks due to the withdrawal of a train, causing delays in service. Traffic in Line 7 has improved after the withdrawal of a train for inspection, maintaining smooth operations.
Regarding Line 3, slow departures are reported from its base at Indios Verdes, which has resulted in wait times exceeding ten minutes in some cases. Despite this, service is normalizing, with high traffic at the Martín Carrera station.
It is important to highlight that the Zócalo station is open and operational. Due to the failures in Line 7 and the incidents in Line 6, it is recommended to consider alternative transportation options.
