Normal Operation of Hoy No Circula in Mexico City

The Hoy No Circula program will be regularly applied this Wednesday, February 5, in the 18 municipalities surrounding the State of Mexico and the 16 boroughs of Mexico City, as the Environmental Commission of the Megalopolis (CAMe) has not declared an environmental contingency. The measure affects vehicles with red stickers, hologram 1 or 2, and plates ending in 3 and 4, restricting their circulation between 5:00 AM and 10:00 PM.

Regarding the possibility of a double Hoy No Circula program for this Wednesday, the answer is no, as air quality was considered "good" on Tuesday, February 4, and CAMe has not announced any environmental contingency. This scheme is implemented exclusively in case of contingency to reduce pollution.

Vehicles excluded from the restriction are electric and hybrid cars, those with ecological plates, bearing the hologram "00" or "0", as well as those designated for health services, school transport, funeral processions, persons with disabilities, and public service vehicles. Motorcycles with a valid Tourist Pass and cars with stickers in pink, blue, yellow, and green are also included.
