The young woman attacked Valentina Gilabert, the current girlfriend of her ex-boyfriend, with a knife, stabbing her 15 times in an apartment in Park Pedregal, in the Álvaro Obregón borough of Mexico City.

On the afternoon of Thursday, February 6, the case of influencer Marianne Gonzaga Rodríguez, who carried out the violent attack, spread on social media. On her networks, Gonzaga shared aspects of her life, including her pregnancy, travels, and luxuries, but she was also involved in previous controversies such as accusations of domestic violence and the dissemination of misleading content on social media, according to journalist Rosa Lilia Torres.

The same journalist detailed that Gonzaga used knives to stab her ex's girlfriend in the neck, chest, and hands, leaving her severely injured. Subsequently, the young woman was arrested by agents of the Secretariat of Citizen Security of CDMX. Despite the gravity of the events, Gonzaga is a minor, which has raised questions about her potential sentencing for attempted femicide.
