Innovative Human Anatomy Exhibition in Mexico City

A fascinating exhibition of human anatomy is available at Plaza Carso (Lago Zurich 245, Entrance 4, Colonia Ampliación Granada, Alcaldía Miguel Hidalgo) until March 15, 2025. The exhibit features 11 complete bodies, three torsos, and over 150 real organs, all preserved using the technique of plastination that maintains the appearance and structure of the tissues.

The great novelty this year is the virtual reality experience, where attendees can travel through arteries, lungs, and the brain, observing in detail the functioning of the organism and the effects of substances like sugar or cigarettes on health. This exhibition at Plaza Carso offers the opportunity to explore human anatomy in a way never seen before.

Angélica del Rey, the exhibition coordinator, explained that the bodies are treated through plastination, allowing them to be seen in their real size and shape, detailing that all systems such as the digestive, nervous, and muscular can be observed.

The exhibition is divided into six thematic rooms where visitors can delve into the main systems of the human body, such as the cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive, endocrine, among others. This unique experience titled "Our Body: The Universe Within" combines real preserved human bodies with innovative immersion in virtual reality.

Visiting hours are Monday to Sunday from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and ticket prices vary by day. On weekdays, the cost is $300 for adults and $200 for children and seniors, while on weekends the price is $350 for adults and $250 for children and seniors. Those wishing to experience virtual reality will have an additional cost.
