In another day of operations of 'The Night Belongs to Everyone,' coordinated by the Secretariat of Government of Mexico City (Secgob), the suspension of 37 'chelerías' was achieved without incidents. These actions are part of strengthening a key program that addresses citizen complaints about illegal alcohol sales, disturbances, noise excess, and the sale of alcoholic beverages to minors.
By order of the Head of Government, Clara Brugada, this inter-institutional operation will continue to reinforce its patrols to ensure that those using nightlife spaces do so safely. Additionally, it is verified that establishments comply with the current permits and regulations for their operation.
These verification and security patrols were carried out in various neighborhoods of the municipalities Álvaro Obregón, Coyoacán, Gustavo A. Madero, Cuauhtémoc, Iztapalapa, and Venustiano Carranza. During the weekend of interventions, two establishments were closed, and three more were verified to ensure they had the necessary documentation for their operation.
Furthermore, one person was detained and referred to the corresponding Public Ministry for breaking the closure seals at their establishment. The aim of these operations is to guarantee safe environments, promote regulated and responsible coexistence, as well as verify that establishments comply with the current regulations on alcohol sales.
