Journalist Carlos Jiménez reported on an incident where an individual assaulted his mother and was arrested. According to reports, the man began to cry upon being arrested after pleading with his mother not to report him. Internet users criticized his actions, stating that he should look for a job instead of resorting to violence in response to his mother's urging him to contribute economically to the household.
After the assault, the police of Mexico City arrived at the scene and successfully apprehended the aggressor. Although it has not been specified how the report originated, it is said that the capture was carried out successfully with the agents protecting the victim. A photograph of the moment of the arrest, in which the aggressor is seen crying, was taken as evidence and shared by Carlos Jiménez.
The alleged aggressor, identified as Luis Peña from the Álvaro Obregón borough, initially struck his mother, exercising domestic violence against her. Additional details, such as his age and last names, have not yet been revealed. The case of physical abuse and domestic violence will be considered in his legal process before the authorities of Mexico City.
