The Hoy No Circula program will be active this Saturday, April 26, in Mexico City and the State of Mexico, applying restrictions to various vehicles. Private cars with verification holograms 0 and 00, as well as with hologram 1 whose last digit is 2, 4, 6, 8, or 0, will be prohibited from circulating. The circulation of cars with hologram 2 and those without hologram, such as vintage vehicles, demonstration or transfer vehicles, new ones, with tourist passes, foreign plates, or formed by letters, is also restricted.
Taxis with holograms 00, 0, 1, or 2 must comply with the restrictions between 10:00 AM and 10:00 PM. However, some cars will be exempt from these restrictions, such as electric vehicles, those used by people with disabilities with a valid permit, and those for personal use by health sector workers with a current ID.
On the other hand, local or federal cargo vehicles cannot circulate between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM, except for those included in the CDMX or State of Mexico Self-Regulation Program. Additionally, the Double Hoy No Circula has been activated due to the environmental contingency, requiring the suspension of the circulation of certain units, such as 50% of LPG distribution units without a dry disconnect valve, whose license plate ends in EVEN.
It is important to remember that the Hoy No Circula program applies in the 16 municipalities of CDMX and 18 municipalities in the State of Mexico, including Atizapán de Zaragoza, Cuautitlán, Francisco del Rincón, Huixquilucan, Ixtapaluca, Tijuana, among others.
