The Hoy No Circula Program establishes measures applicable to vehicle circulation with the aim of preventing, minimizing, and controlling the emission of pollutants. In order to standardize and minimize the impact in the Megalopolis, Mexico City, and the State of Mexico, this measure was established to limit the circulation of private vehicles regardless of the origin of the plates and/or registration.
Vehicles with pink stickers, license plate endings 7 and 8, verification hologram 1 and 2, holograms 0 and 00, electric and hybrid vehicles, vehicles driven by healthcare personnel, motorcycles, and cars with disability plates cannot circulate this Tuesday.
The Hoy No Circula schedule is in effect from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Be aware that failing to comply with the rules of the Hoy No Circula program may result in a fine ranging from 2,075 pesos to 3,112 pesos.
The only day on which the Hoy No Circula does not apply to any vehicle is Sunday; this day is exempt from any type of restriction. The only exception will be when the Environmental Commission of the Megalopolis orders both the suspension of the program and a double Hoy No Circula.
