In the Gustavo A. Madero borough of Mexico City, a woman tragically lost her life after being pinned against a pole by a public transport truck. In the same incident, two minors accompanying her were injured, one with a severe head injury and the other with the amputation of a limb from the pelvis level. The vehicle driver, a 26-year-old young man, was detained by the Citizen Security Secretariat (SSC) police and presented to the Public Prosecutor's Office to define his legal situation.
The incident occurred in the Martín Carrera neighborhood, where operators from the North Command and Control Center (C2) alerted authorities about a collision with injured people. The police coordinated the assistance of emergency teams and proceeded to detain the truck driver, who crashed into a pole and a building.
Paramedics from the Medical Rescue and Emergency Squad (ERUM) attended to the two injured minors, aged 15 and 16, diagnosing one with severe cranioencephalic trauma and the other with the amputation of a pelvic limb. Both were taken to a hospital for specialized care. Tragically, a woman approximately 41 years old was found trapped between the truck's structure and the light pole, and the paramedics unfortunately declared her without vital signs.
The authorities' work at the site included cordoning off the area, traffic congestion control, and coordinating with Civil Protection and the Fire Department to remove the truck from the accident scene. The Public Prosecutor's Office agent will continue with the appropriate investigation to clarify the circumstances of this tragic event.
